GETTING STARTED
Calls in The Auction
The bids must be made in an order: During bidding bidders must take the levels and ranks of the suits into account. The rank order of suits is ♣, ♦, ♥, ♠, NT: ♣ is lowest and NT is highest.. In addition to these bids there are two other calls: If the last bid has been made by an opponent you may "Double" when it is your turn.. If the "Double" is followed by three passes the final contract becomes "Doubled contract". The effect of double is to increase all scoring. When one partnership has doubled, and there have been no intervening calls other than passes, a player from the other partnership may call "Redouble". Redoubled contract increases twice penalties and bonuses of doubled contract. A natural double (also called penalty) implies an intent to defeat the current contract. A conventional double is one that conveys some other meaning (In modern bridge conventional doubles are mostly used)..
Which bid can South make after there have been three consecutive passes (??).

Bidding is over after three consecutive passes . Nobody can make another bid..
If any player bids over a double or redouble bid, all doubles and redoubles are canceled. So, West's double has no effect to score...
A player may double only the bid that have been made by an opponent...
West leads Ace of spades.. Top card of a strong sequence (AKQ in this case)
- Since the contract is 4♥, declarer must not lose more than 3 tricks.. Spades in the hand are losers..
- If declarer lose all three spades, he must not lose a club trick.. If he lose only two spades, he now can lose one club trick..
